Warren and Sarah are two cool cats. I love the way they are always making each other laugh, and how they'll instinctively move together without me even giving them any directions. The day we did this shoot the lighting was so nice but it was incredibly cold. Like, so cold we had to stop in the middle and warm up in a coffee shop with some tea. We got a lot of great shots though. It's been over a month and I still can't get over how good looking these two are.
Sometimes you just have to push and push to get to where you want to be. Six months ago I emailed Michael about a potential shoot. After lots and lots of emails, as Michael later liked to remind me, we finally came to the decision that I would document his choir rehearsals. That led to shooting his final rehearsal at Mac Hall.
That led to shooting backstage at his concert at the Jack Singer.
It was truly an amazing experience to get to hang out backstage with Michael's band and the people he surrounds himself with. They are all really great people who make me laugh and wish that I could hang out with them all the time. True story.
I really love my life sometimes.
When we started this shoot the sky started styrofoaming - not quite hailing but not really snowing. It seriously looked like styrofoam. The weather gods were definitely against us. Despite it being perfectly nice a couple hours prior, the skies turned grey and the wind increased its gusto. Thanks Sydney for being a trooper.
My brother almost never lets me take pictures of him, so when he finally relents I have to take advantage. Can't believe how old/tall/stylish he's getting. We just did a quick shoot outside my house.
Tamara is a good friend of mine. She is super smart and beautiful, and after spending the afternoon with her and her family I can see where it all comes from.
