A little while ago I got the chance to shoot Cowpuncher tracking for their new album. Their choice of place was amazing; a huge warehouse tucked away in Inglewood with nothing but a few Fiestas. It was a really cool experience. I can't wait for their new album to come out. Thanks to my friend Josh and Pilot Audio for inviting me to shoot; I love opportunities like these.
Even watching Michael and his band rehearse for this show didn't stop my jaw from dropping the floor. Michael's shows never cease to amaze. I am so happy that all the hard work everyone put into this show paid off so handsomely, and I am extremely honoured that I got to be there to document it all. I always love hanging out with this group of people. Simplicity is grand.
Big love.
Michael Bernard Fitzgerald is playing two shows at The Grand this Friday and Saturday. They are almost sold out but you can purchase tickets here. I got to sit in a couple of his rehearsals and was absolutely blown away; it is so intimate and beautiful and you absolutely do not want to miss this.
"We're pretty awkward. We don't like taking pictures together at all," Alicia said on the drive up to Lake Louise. And at the beginning, there were tons of giggling and funny faces made. "Do we stand together like this? Do we have to hug?" At the very core of Doug and Alicia, however, is the kind of love you develop after six years of being together. It's a quiet love, but if you listen closely enough and pay enough attention you can trace it in all the small things. How he holds her hand so she won't fall while wearing high heels. How she still laughs when he rolls his eyes at her.
How even when they believe they are pretty awkward, they still look completely comfortable with each other.
